hmmmm

I'm proud of myself. I've been on here a few times so far this week, and i'm stoked. it's been my little goal to get on here and blog at least a few times a week. we'll see how this pans out once school starts into full swing.

between work and school..i hope i have time to sleep. this morning while i was looking at my week ahead, i suddenly felt very exhausted. i get a day off next saturdsay! i'm very excited.

Right about now, i'm looking forward to my vacation...guess i'll have to wait until december :(

Today involves trying to crack open some homework, visit the parents, then work at two until close. Honestly not looking forward to target on a sunday...i usually stop running around at eight o'clock. but maybe, since it's supposed to be so nice outside, they'll all be at the orchard....lily would like that. yesterday was lily's first day of work at the apple orchard...i heard she had fun. i also heard that her feet were killing her, and she worked so hard. (welcome to the big girl club kid) and today's her second day.

Well, off to get a few things done before my day starts. Hope you all have a nice and relaxing sunday.

I'm impressed

So I do have to say that I am impressed. I've been on here twice in the same month...actually twice in the same week for that matter. I'm pretty impressed. No big deal.

Speaking of big deals...today was my first LAST day of college. If that doesn't put a happy grin on your face, then I don't know what does. So Dave and I went to Ann Arbor to celebrate. We went to Mongolian BBQ and then strolled down the street and enjoyed some dessert at Whole Foods. Dave wasn't too pumped on the idea of going to a grocery store to get dessert, but i totally proved him wrong. He also didn't like the fact that it's an organic grocery store. But lo and behold, i proved him wrong. we indulged in a few different desserts, and felt like total fatties, but so delicious. we bought 3 desserts, i promise you, they were all bite size..well almost bite size : cream puff ( borderline amazing), chocolate eclair ( melted in my mouth) and a chocolate truffler ( that really was bite size.) but anyways, they were sooo good. I'm a fan, and whole foods will be seeing more of me...even though my wallet doesn't think that this is a good idea. but, hey, what's life without a few treats?!

So the weekend's coming up. it's full of homework :( not yet ready for it and work. Dave swung up into town for a few days, and is heading back home on friday or saturday.

So right now, i'm enjoying this wonderul cool night, watching my boyfriend dance in the living room....poor guy, he has no idea what a dork he looks like.

Summer flew by...

So, once again, I didn't surprise myself when I didn't keep up on my blog. Summer has gone by way too fast. I was able to do spring and summer courses, all while doing other summer things such as swim, camp, fish, etc. so taking classes this summer wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be.

This past month, was filled with tons of camping trips. The first weekend of August, my parents hosted the Thompson family reunion ( mom's side) which was a lot of fun. I was able to catch up with the family, and even meet some new ones. Over 90 people showed up at the house. The weekend after that was followed by a camping trip to Indiana Dunes State Park. We met kelli and dad there, and dave drove over from Ohio. It was a lot of fun, and the water was extremly warm. The weekend after, was our Traverse City trip, with the Lassila Family.

I've felt like such a part timer this month, since almost every weekend i have been out of town. But, now that summer's to an end, it was all worth it. school starts in two days ;( i'm not ready for it, but it's my LAST year! I can not believe it's almost over. So, i'm going to suck it up, and knock it out.

Wonderful Weekend

Well it's been a week since i've been on here, but at least it's not four months like the last post...so i'm fairly proud of myself :)

busy busy week. spent my week working and finishing up my spring finals! i'm only three more semesters from graduating...should be done next spring....if all goes as planned. so i enjoyed my last weekend off, and on tuesday i start the summer semester..hopefully this semester goes as fast as the last.

dave came into town on wed night and we had a great weekend together and with the group. thursday dave and i went swimming and the boys came over that evening to work on the honda while us girls sat in the garage and visited. it felt like summer again..not a care in the world and enjoying the long summer nights. friday was painful when i had less than five hours of sleep...but it was well worth it. friday was girls night out! we went out for dinner and shared pizza and laughs, followed by the balloon fest. so many people but so fun and the night was finished with fire works.

saturday dave and i went canoeing on the lake, swimming, and i took him back to the balloon fest so he could finally get his corn dog. for all of you who do not know, dave loves carny good and would possibly kill for a corn dog...well not really, but that's how much he loves them. finally, he had to make his way back to columbus, and i couldn't keep him in town any longer.

then today, the lassila's and i volunteered at the camp michitanki golf outing. aside from the crazy weather which consisted of rain, crazy lighting, and a tornado warning, it was a lot of fun. the guys got to golf, and jen and i had fun crusing the course.

so all in all, this past week was great. i'm enjoying the summer nights and spending time with my friends and family.

more blogs to come :)

wow 4 months....really?!?!

so my idea to blog everyday is long gone. i can not believe it's been so long since i've been on here...kind of embarassing really.

as you can imagine, much has happened, and things are not the same as they were months ago.

i finished my junior year :) and now i'm working on spring and summer courses, so if all goes planned i should be graduating next spring...finally.

dave's in columbus right now, and is enjoying his job. he works at republic airlines with trevor, and it sounds like the two of them are doing more joking then working, but at least they're having fun. dave was able to find a nice apartment in north columbus, which is a one bedroom, with plenty of living space. he has a den, sun room and living room....more than us girls over here.

summer is flying by. i feel like i've spent half my summer at target, but that should be changing soon. next month dave and i have a camping trip planned with bridget and trevor, then a week up in the keewenaw....which i'm so excited to see the lassila camp. i've heard nothing but great stories of the camp, along with the beautiful scenery :)

the girls and i have been crazy busy, but still have been able to find time to take a quick dip in the pool.

well this was a very brief update of my life, but better than nothing. hopefully i can find the time and courage to get back on here and blog. from the short time that i was on here, i did enjoy it. i figured i should jump back on here, since i've had people ask me when i'm going to get back on. so here i am....

enjoy.

what a week. it's been busy around here and i haven't been able to blog as much as i would have liked to...it's been over a week. it's pretty sad. schools been very busy and much activity is going on with dave. he's been applying for jobs around the country and now they are starting to pour in. there was quite the dry spell for a while, and now it's getting down to decision time. he went to columbus the week before last, and then he went down to cleveland this week. yesterday he got a call from cleveland and was offered a job, which he decided to take today. so as i've been trying to deal with the big exciting news, and starting to prep myself, he got a call today from the job in columbus...another job offer! way too exciting. dave had already made his decision about moving to cleveland and when colombus was thrown in the mix he said..." it feels like sombody put my brain in a blender and put it on high." poor guy. so as he was trying to work everything out and weigh his possible options he got another phone call. this time, it was from delta! finally a local job. so as this crazy week is starting to wind down, decisions need to be made. i know everything is going to work out, but until then we can only hope for the best. we had made plans to drive down to cleveland tomorrow to go apartment shopping for him, but now i have no idea what tomorrow will bring. any ideas to do on my day off?

i have tomorrow off and then i have two more days of work before i fly out to arizona! i can not wait until i see the sunshine for a week! jenny and jordan are flying down on friday and we'll be there until wed afternoon. it's going to be nice to catch up with the grandparents and take a break from school and work...it's much needed. i think that if i step foot in target again i might explode. i recently got a new job position, which is nice, but it comes with a lot more responsibility. i'm managing the front lanes, and the people i get to deal with are even better! ( pick up on the sarcasim yet?) i'm continually surprised by the people who come to me looking for answers or questions. get this, the other day a woman left one of her bags at the checkout after she paid for it. she then called the store looking for her lost items, and i reassured her they were safetly behind the counter, waiting to be picked up. no problem right? wrong. she then asks me if she can have them delivered because she lives in howell, and it's too far to drive! seriously? do you honestly think that we deliver items to people's homes? she was pretty let down when i told her we do not offer that service, and she'll have to get her butt in the car. so that's just a bit of what i deal with. i can't wait to see what sunday brings me. wish me luck.
